The availability of local channels and sports also varies depending on where you live. The number of available channels and on-demand movies varies depending on the package you subscribe to. It works like the other live TV Over-the-Top (OTT) streaming services out there and includes most of the popular channels including (but not limited to) CNN, Syfy, USA, ESPN, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, TNT, USA and even HBO and Cinemax with some plans. I have been using it for several weeks now and here is what I’ve found. The company has fixed some of those early issues and now it offers a fairly stable service. Some people have complained of channels not working, major freeze-ups, or complete outages. It has been plagued by performance and service issues. They'll vary a little bit depending on which plan you have - for instance, if HBO is included in your chosen plan, you can't also add it as an add-on.While considered one of the major live streaming services, AT&T TV NOW has had a rough going out of the gate. Optimo Mas ($86 a month): This is AT&T TV Now's Spanish-language option.Ultimate ($135 a month): This will get you the maximum number of English-language channels - 125 and change - including local and regional sports.Xtra ($124 a month): We're now up to more than 105 channels total, including local and regional sports.Choice ($110 a month): Local channels and regional sports networks are included, and you'll end up with more than 85 channels total.But you get 65-plus channels, including your local channels. Entertainment ($93 a month): From here on out HBO and the like will cost extra.Max ($80 a month): This plan adds some more sports channels (for a total of 50-plus) and also includes HBO and Cinemax.You'll get local channels with this plan, but no regional sports networks. It's got 40-plus channels and comes with HBO, HBO Family and HBO Latino included. Plus ($55 a month): This is now the least expensive option on AT&T TV Now. (Of course, they also cost more.) The Plus and Max plans are the only two that include HBO or Cinemax without a premium subscription fee. Moreso, even than, than plans that offer more channels. AT&T is pushing its two least expensive plans - the $50-a-month Plus plan, and the $70-a-month Max plan - pretty hard. Six are in English, and the seventh is a dedicated Spanish-language option.
